Cookies for Allergies

It is not easy to purchase biscuit treats for dogs that suffer from food allergies. Two of the main canine allergies are gluten and corn. These are also recipes for sensitive puppies.

Honey Oat Cookies
Dogs on vegetarian diets will find that these treats fit their need for a snack. Honey is a natural antiseptic while raw honey contains pollen and may help dogs with pollen-based allergies.

1 cup Oatmeal
1 1/2 cups Whole-wheat flour
1/2 cup Honey
1/2 cup Water
1/2 tbsp Cinnamon

1. Mix oatmeal and whole-wheat flour together.
2. Blend honey, water and cinnamon and slowly mix with dry ingredients.
3. Place on floured counter and roll out, about 1/2 inch/ 1 cm thick. Cut out shapes with desired cookie cutter.
4. Bake at Gas 4 for 20 minutes, or until cookies are crisp.


Liver Brownies
The ingredients in these delicious brownies should not create a spike in the blood sugar, making them a perfect treat for dogs that sensitive to glucose.

1/2 cup Whole-wheat flour
2 Eggs
1 1/2 lb Liver

1. Puree all ingredients together in a food processor.
2. Pour into a greased square pan.
3. Bake at Gas 4 for 30 minutes, or until cookies are crisp.


Veggie Rice
These drop cookies are wheat free and corn free and the fresh carrot supply the system with essential nutrients. Low in calories, carrot contain fiber to aid digestion.

1/2 cup Powdered milk
1 cup Vegetable Stock
4 cups Rice flour
2 cups Shredded carrots

1. Blend all ingredients together well.
2. Drop tablespoons of the mixture onto cookie sheet.
4. Bake at Gas 4 for 30 minutes, or until done.
